Hello music nerds in cyber land. Welcome to my blog! Scott here, your resident music geek.

Though I’m not a musician by trade, I have enough knowledge to not sound like a buffoon.

On a once a month basis, I plan to write about a song I love that most people won't know about...a forgotten classic! Since music is my driving force in this crazy world, I'm pretty familiar with music of many genres, ages and styles. I try (sometimes hard) to appreciate all music, whether or not I actually enjoy listening to it. My tastes tend to gravitate towards typical gay-boy poppy music, but anything with a melody works for me. I also tend to like more "challenging" music, so long as it is well-crafted, and not weird simply for art's sake. And lastly, I am far more interested in older music, generally before 1980. I've never really been able to pinpoint why exactly this is, perhaps it is the organic nature of the music of that time, or simply its aesthetic. I'll let you know when I figure it out.  That's why I chose the name Forgotten Classics for this series.
